From complete beginners or if you are experienced we can run you through a series of specialist techniques such as zips, seam, etc. We teach you all aspects of dressmaking and advise and assist you to make your own garment,
Everyone who attends one of our classes chooses their own learning programme, and decides what they want to make and what techniques they want to learn. We try to make it a very individual learning experience, tailor-made for you, and what you want to get out of it.

Dressmaking for Absolute Beginners
If you have ever wanted to learn how to make your own clothing, we can teach you how using the most basic of construction skills.
After-school Sewing Club
Tuesday 4pm - 6pm
Come and join us after school to learn how to make your own clothes, and make accessories for yourself and your bedroom . We teach you how to use a sewing machine, the most basic of construction skills and how to read patterns, then it is over to you to do your own projects.
Dressmaking for Improvers
For those with sewing experience, who want to learn 'insider secrets' of the garment industry including, improve your techniques, pattern construction, fitting and finishing.
Sewing Surgery
Pop in with your sewing project questions or any problems you are having with a pattern or technique. Call us to confirm timings.

Subject to availability, Classes take place on Tuesdays 10-12, 2-4 Wednesdays 9.30-11.30 / 1-3 / 4-6 Child Class / 6-8pm Saturday 9.30-11.30 / 1-3 / 3-5

Sewing Street
Sewing Street Ltd is run by Carol, a highly experienced and qualified seamstress, who has worked in many areas of the sewing industry, as well as in education and social work. She has taught in colleges in Liverpool, worked on schemes for those with additional needs and run soft-furnishing, dressmaking and alteration businesses. Carol decided in 2014 to use all of her skills and experience to set up 'sewing street', becoming the first provider of crafting and dressmaking classes in the Burscough area, for people like you who just want to learn for fun in a relaxed environment. She is CRB checked and has a wealth of experience of working with people of all ages and abilities.
